CorreLog Advances Its Partnership Status in McAfee Security Innovation Alliance

Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution provider CorreLog completes compatibility testing and becomes a McAfee Sales Teaming Partner

Naples, Florida, August 26, 2011 – CorreLog, a provider of SIEM, enterprise log management, and proactive security correlation solutions, announced today that it has passed compatibility testing in the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance™ (SIA) program and its solution has achieved McAfee Compatible status. This milestone was reached after McAfee validated the integration built by CorreLog, acknowledging CorreLog’s adherence to best practices for integrating with McAfee® ePolicy Orchestrator® (McAfee ePO™) software. CorreLog has also become a Sales Teaming Partner in the SIA program. This will enable CorreLog to work with McAfee sales teams to drive more complete security solutions from both companies to large enterprises.

While customers often standardize on individual vendors for stable infrastructure categories such as networking, the dynamic nature of the security market calls for a combination of a single leader, like McAfee, coupled with innovative solutions that address emerging security areas. The Security Innovation Alliance helps make this strategy achievable.

CorreLog integrated its solution with the McAfee ePO security management platform using a software development kit (SDK), followed by comprehensive testing by McAfee.  This integration is expected to allow organizations of any size to proactively monitor and manage IT security and regulatory compliance from a single console. Organizations can extract more value from their security investment by using CorreLog’s advanced real-time log management, multiplatform security correlation, and z/OS mainframe connectivity.

CorreLog aggregates large amounts of log message data from a variety of sources. This data is then correlated with existing data in the McAfee ePO platform, as well as data within external data stores, including Microsoft Active Directory. The correlated results are sent to McAfee ePO dashboards, providing detailed visibility into the current state of users, devices, and applications, enabling administrators of the McAfee ePO platform to respond with the right context required for each incident.

“We’re pleased to see CorreLog complete McAfee compatibility testing and become a Sales Teaming Partner,” said Ed Barry, vice president of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance. “This integration will enable our mutual customers to respond faster to compliance violations, policy breaches, cyber attacks, and insider threats.”
